Hello👋, I am a second-year Masters student at KAIST’s School of Computing , where I am forunate to be co-advised by Professors Meeyoung Cha and Joseph Seering. Prior to this, I worked with Professor Hwajung Hong at DxD lab and Professor Juho Kim during my internship at KIXLAB.
My research interests lies in the intersection of Human/Community-AI Interaction and Human-centered Natural Language Processing. Previously, I have researched on LLM privacy, offensive language detection, and personalized human-AI interaction.
I am excited about designing human-centered AI systems that enhance decision-making or improve prosocial group outcomes in real-world domains (e.g., healthcare, policy, workplace). Specifically, I draw from participatory machine learning to build usable control features and align models. Recently, I am working on simulating interpersonal communication with multicultural, pluralistic settings to understand users, LLMs, and in-the-end create more responsible intelligent systems.

Other random facts: Yubin is pronounced like "You have been" without the have. In my free time, you can find me playing tennis, jamming 2000s guitar riffs, training AI covers (Kpop <> pop), or learning languages📚.
